Pillars of Hope

A Campaign to Preserve the Legacy of Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer FoundationPillars of Hope

Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s Pillars of Hope campaign was launched in 2010 with an eye to the future and a vision for growth, sustainability and its legacy. Bear Necessities, already a highly regarded and respected national pediatric cancer charity, established the $2.2 million dollar campaign to assure an even stronger foundation for its future growth, and to provide more robust resources for needed program expansion and impact.

Meeting the Pillars of Hope four-year major gift campaign goal will enable Bear Necessities to lead the way among pediatric cancer support and research foundations. Your additional gifts allow hopeful, life-giving research to be funded and joy-filled programs to flow smoothly to the families and children battling pediatric cancer.

Pillars of Hope is the most ambitious fundraising campaign in Bear Necessities’ nineteen year history. We will make what was once a vision of an eight-year-old boy battling cancer a reality for countless children and families as they continue their courageous fight against pediatric cancer.

Every gift to the campaign will benefit our programs and eliminate significant occupancy costs of our new permanent home.  Upon completion of the campaign, we will be able to direct an additional $100,000 dollars to our programs and services each year.  The estimated impact of the campaign towards our programs and services can best be told in the following numbers:

• 60 additional Bear Hugs

• 60 additional families supported through financial assistance

• 5 -10 additional Bear Empowerment grants totaling $20,000

• 1 additional $20,000 Bear Discoveries grant

Please join us in this endeavor.  Your investment in this vital initiative will have an enduring impact on our future success and our permanent legacy.
